FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION NEW ORLEANS
Targeted nutrition guidance and behavior-change support so you begin feeling better.
Because food really is medicine.
Because food really is medicine.
What you eat and how you live is personal. I understand how hard it can feel to make nutritional and lifestyle adjustments that take you beyond your current comfort zone and comfort foods. But when you want to feel better—whether you’ve received a challenging diagnosis or simply know in your heart it’s time to change the way you think about (and eat) food—it can feel overwhelming.
It’s not just-how-it-is to feel achy, foggy, or lethargic on a daily basis. “Feeling old” is not a necessary part of the aging process.
You can use food as a complement to an existing medical protocol—to help overcome your health challenges more efficiently.
Eating the right foods for your body’s unique needs can often result in decreased reliance on pharmaceuticals.
There isn’t one right diet that every single person should conform to for optimal health—you have options (based on your body’s needs).
Learning to eat better is challenging (there’s no sugar-coating it…I don’t sugar-coat anything 😉) but with a highly-customized plan and the right support, you can do it. I can help you through the murky times you’ll naturally experience on the journey to your new normal—a version of you that is liberated from the current cravings, habits, and self-sabotaging choices keeping you stuck in discomfort right now.
The first step is a free 15-minute connection call. We’ll talk and see if we’re a good fit and I’ll answer any questions you have. At the end of your no-obligation call, you’ll feel more clarity about whether my functional nutrition coaching services are right for you.
The frequency of these appointments is unique to each client, but generally occur every 2-3 weeks. These sessions enable me to make minor adjustments to your health plan as needed based on your results. 30-45 minutes is usual for these appointments.
My goal is to understand the root causes of your symptoms. Your first session will last approximately 90-minutes and I’ll take a complete health history. I’ll also gain information about lifestyle or career factors that may be contributing to your health challenges.
As an additional service, I can help organize your pantry based on your wellness plan. I’ll teach you how to swap subpar foods for nutritious alternatives. I’ll also make sure you always have basic ingredients at the ready for healthy, delicious meals.
In this 45-minute session, I'll suggest a personalized plan which may include: dietary recommendations, nutritional supplementation, lifestyle changes, and functional lab tests* you'd benefit from. We’ll map out your wellness plan so you can get started right away.
Your wellness plan isn’t a temporary “diet,” but a sustainable lifestyle. I’ll provide meal planning guidance and share time-management tips so cooking at home feels easy. I’ll also teach you how to eat at restaurants without derailing your longterm health goals.
*Functional medicine labs measure ideal physiological function, rather than simply looking for markers of disease. Oftentimes, out-of-range values on standard lab tests are addressed only with pharmaceuticals. Unfortunately, this does not address the "Why?" of the problem, and without the prescribed drug, the lab marker may go back out of range, leading to a lifetime of dependency on medication (and its side effects). Clients may come in with "normal" conventional lab results, yet they still feel "off" – they know intuitively that all is not well! All organ systems are interconnected, and functional labs help us confirm which systems are out of balance and how much they deviate from the ideal. From this, we can design a health plan to bring the whole person back into balance.
“Well, Well, Well changed my life! Stephanie is fantastic to work with. She developed a plan to help with my fibromyalgia and other inflammation-based issues. The protocol was really easy to understand, and she is so incredibly supportive. I ended up being a huge success. I lost weight, which was one of my primary goals, but the best part was how I felt. During the initial 6-week elimination period, I was able to hike numerous trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, something I thought my joints would never let me do again. Even when I’ve fallen off the wagon, I keep going back to the basics of my protocol to help whip me back into feeling great. Stephanie is there for support, to offer guidance, answer questions, and remind me it’s a journey, not a sprint. I couldn’t be happier with the guidance and support I received, and continue to receive, from Stephanie.”
